What and where is our culture heading......

Right now we in India are struck....struck terribly between modern (read western)and traditional mindsets...even the generation next is unable to understand where they stand....everybody wants a modern girlfriend and the same material is unfit as a wife....moral dilemmas are as common as anything else....this is a disturbing trend as the person you are cheating is none other than you...convience is the new concept these days...for example if u have time you plan to execute each and every traditional ceremony and if u r busy...oh why to follow those in these days....basic flaw lies in lack of reasoning at individual and cultural level....why do you pray...coz you are told to so by those who are told to do so by others and this mass misunderstanding continues....horoscope is the basic essential thing rather love in case of marriages(arranged) how the hell do they forecast your well being..? some unknown science....boy friend has to be tough ,party animal and somebody who gives all his time to her....but husband....caring individual who is responsible,earns a lot and has a greater social status(has to be from the caste yaar...)...where dose this duality arrive from? and whom are you cheating?I wish this to be a temporary phase through which the culture is transforming and i personally think for the current period the shift towards the western culture is for the good of upcoming generations....

it has been a really long time since I wrote a blog.I would not have written this too if I didnt have this new iPad in my hand.But this has made me to scribble again and ...yep back again...as always I promise myself to write regularly.The problem with under achievers(ppl like me)is indiscipline.we take hell lot of resolutions and when it comes to delivery we miss the bus.probably that's the major difference between "average " and above average.using this iPad,iPhone and iPod and king of apple products iMac has made me huge fan of Steve jobs (probably the other way round).Still....he is a dream come true and life in a fantasy..but death the ultimate destination Steve talked about has come to him RIP....the world will his magic...and his on stage presence...his lovely Stanford speech is as good as his successful products(great thing is that it's available for free online)....such are the ppl who make their creators proud...hmm it's really nice to write a blog with iPad...feels gud and makes you Proud may be this is the feeling that fairer sex get when they flaunt those expensive jewellery.To me apple and stevejobs in particular seems to be a rare mix of art and technology and that's why ppl love him. He made his profits but the users of the products know it's worth....miss him a lot...now it's real test watching the apple without steve at the helm.Great ppl make great organisations and apple has proved it again....

Why should I be proud to be an indian

We have a great culture they say....but ppl are such a hypocrites....we are one family they say....ppl fight with each other....Mumbai has a great spirit they say...ppl dont know whether they return home or not when the leave in the morning and thy know tht its not the spirit but its the  helplessness....we are a developing nation and our economy is growing they say...farmers commit suicide.....women are worshiped here they say....girls are raped brutally in every corner of the country....satyameva jayete they say....but truth is the last thing we discuss in meetings and forums.....sacrifices are made by the great leaders who gave their lives to the country they say...but i dont understand that their sons and daughters are billionares and  rest lay naked in the streets....

I used to take pride in being an indian as a child. Every August 15 was real festival and republic parade was a dream happening. "I am proud of my country"---This is wht i used to think. Ppl leaving this country are so selfish...Asutosh gowathrikar made the Swades movie using this concept. It is really wonderful to live in a world of pseudo patriotism which is encouraged by every teacher to his student. But every great brain has left this country.....I used to think it as betrayal.....we are taught to ask what did u do for the country rather than what the country did for you...put your duties before your responsibilities....is it wrong to question "what this country has done for her honest citizen"... one question kept on bothering me is why are ideals so wrong....why ????

Well it took some years to find a rational answer.....without a bias tht i love my country however dirtyy and filthy is its state....slowly i realized ppl lied about this massive patriotism....every being is free to choose its life in a better way....."selfishness" ...is condemned here but every god dam patriot here is selfish and thats the right way to be....but only thing that hurts is this "brotherhood"....if there is true brotherhood why do we fight every other day...it is this "hypocrisy " that is the route cause of all evils....
The hypocrisy is very dangerous this which i observed in every other person i see around....This is the danger....you are supposed to worship elders how ever rubbish they preach you.....either you act or you cheat yourself....right from morning to night this hypocrisy is evil that is biting this country and god knows whether they recognize this.....

My one question is ..."Do you love India?"----Answer this in your hearts...one thing i request is be true to yourself......

The smile of a kid

Its something interesting that I have noticed in the smile of my son.This smile is a source of some energy.The same energy which makes my life as a parent wonderful.It provides me a purpose to live.This is precious.I dont have a unit to measure happiness.If anything that comes closer to the measure of happiness is this smile.The child tends to smile at things around him.There would be plenty of things in the world that seem amazing to the child.Searching out the joy is probably the man's natural state of existence.So I feel that there is nothing worthier than this smile.A simple smile of a child.

Miss being a child

Life has a strange way of teaching things.They say that the experience is the best teacher....but i beg to differ....I feel a fresher mind like that of a child does things better fearless about the consequences, feeling the world in a most rational way.I miss being a child. I miss my childhood as it was a wonderful dream in which every day had  a surprise hidden in it. Everything around me was worth an exploration. Everything seemed possible . Living this life is the best part of existence and nature is the closest friend.I fell in love with this beautiful world around me for the fact that I was a part of it. There is no fear of failure in that child as failure was such a big fun.Learning by making mistakes is the best part of the childhood. Stories of good winning over the evil and heros thrashing the villains made me to crave to be a hero when i grow older.



As i grew older there seemed some disturbances affecting my beautiful world. Being in love is seen as sin,mistakes were not tolerated, Living well is synonymous to living wealthier, In order to survive we need to beat the rest by hook or crook....things were getting weird.

World has become stranger and sense of familiarity and belongingness to this world seemed to fade away.
A sense of insecurity seemed to creep in. But there is something deep in me which has become milder.Milder but present. This makes the child in me smile and look forward to life and that something is ........HOPE.

 Hope that the purpose of life is to live and live happily.....
